How does COVID-19 affect Code Council meetings/training?

With the continued spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the International Code Council is taking extra precautions to keep our members, partners and employees safe.

At this time, all Code Council offices are closed, but our business operations remain open to continue to serve your needs. We will be sure to communicate any changes in the level or timeliness of our services.

Your health and welfare are important to us. To protect you and your families, we will be offering virtual options for Code Council meetings whenever possible during the next few weeks for those unable to travel. We will not allow anyone to attend Code Council meetings in person if they believe they have been in contact with someone exposed to COVID-19.

Below is a list of frequently asked questions regarding this virtual option:

Do you have a list of all of the Code Council’s meetings and in-person training to find out if there is a digital option available?
We have a wide variety of groups hold these meetings, so we do not have a comprehensive list. If you would like to find out if your meeting will offer a digital option, please contact your meeting’s organizer.
If you don’t know your meeting organizer, please contact us at customersuccess@iccsafe.org and we will research this for you.
Will in-person training have digital options?
During COVID-19, the Learning Center is continuing to move any upcoming open enrollment events that were set as face-to-face and moving them to virtual training or web sessions.

How long will this digital option for Code Council meetings be available?
The digital option for these meetings are offered only for the immediate future. We will continue to review and monitor this option until further notice.
We encourage you to check the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and U.S. Department of State websites for the latest updates and recommendations.
