Q. What do I do if my certification is inactive (not renewed by expiration date)?
A. If your certification is currently inactive, you can still renew it. Depending on how long the certificate has been expired, you can use one of the options below.
If the certificate has been expired for less than six years:
You can renew the certification online just as you would renew any other certificate.
The same amount of Continuing Education Units are required, but it’s important to know that CEUs must be within 3 years of your re-certification date.
A reinstatement fee is assessed as outlined in the Renewal Bulletin
Visit our renewals page for more information.
If the certificate has been expired MORE than six years:
You can renew the certification online just as you would renew any other certificate.
Reinstatement after six years requires double the amount of CEUs as a regular renewal, but it’s important to know that CEUs must be within 3 years of your re-certification date.
A reinstatement fee is assessed as outlined in the Renewal Bulletin

Q. Will I still get a notice before my certifications expire?
A. While we do send courtesy notifications that your certifications are about to expire, it is your responsibility to keep track of when these certificates expire. You can find your expiration dates on your myICC account.
It is very important that your mailing address and email address are correct so that you receive your renewal notices. You can update your email and mailing address online through your myICC account.
Q. How quickly is my renewal application processed?

Try to log in with your email address
We recommend trying a personal and a business email
If you’ve had emails in the past, you may want to try those as well. Don’t worry – even if you don’t have that email address anymore you can still log in
Use the “Forgot Password” button to attempt to reset your password
If this does not bring up your account information and you have taken an ICC exam or hold an ICC certification, DO NOT create a new account The new account won’t be associated with your existing certifications.
