- The ICC Technical Training Program is designed around the widely-adopted International Residential Code (IRC). This code compiles all building, plumbing, mechanical, fuel gas and electrical requirements for one- and two-family dwellings in one convenient code book. The IRC serves as a comprehensive textbook for students in virtually every construction-related discipline and familiarizes students with examples of how construction codes are written and applied. The IRC is the most widely used model building code for one- and two-family dwellings in the United States. It is used or adopted at the state or local level in 49 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Why use the IRC for the Technical Training Program?
