How are the development committees different from the Energy and Carbon Advisory Council

The IECC Development Committees are technical bodies responsible for the content of the IECC and will meet frequently to work through proposed changes. The Energy and Carbon Advisory Council is a strategic/policy body established to advise the Code Council Board of Directors and the IECC Development Committees on the direction of both the IECC and additional energy efficiency and greenhouse gas reduction resources to be developed by the Code Council.
