How long will someone serve on the IECC Development Committees?

While the full details of the process is currently under development, we anticipate that members of the IECC Development Committees will serve for a period of approximately three years. This will allow the committee to work together to update the code to the 2024 edition which will be scheduled for release with the remaining I-Codes in the fall of 2023. The committees will continue the process after the 2024 edition on a continuous maintenance schedule which will help avoid seating of a totally new committee with each code cycle. Committee members can serve multiple terms but will need to be re-appointed by the Code Council Board of Directors.
