Identification:
You must have your government-issued photo identification ready to show the proctor (e.g. driver’s license, passport).
The identification must:

have the same legal first name and last name that matches your exam record
- be original (no photo copies)

not be expired

have a signature
Here’s what you’re Allowed/Prohibited to have with you during your exam:
The following items are Allowed:
- Copyrighted, bound material
- Please make sure the reference(s):
- Are bound (either original bound book, three-ring binder, or stapled). Photocopies of copyrighted materials are not allowed.
- Have notes written in ink or highlighted.
- Have permanently attached tabs (tabs that can’t be removed without destroying the page).
- Please make sure the reference(s):
- Architects’ scale or ruler
- Eyeglasses/reading glasses
- Basic, non-programmable, four-function calculator that is:
• limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, square roots, and percentages
• not capable of storing examination information
• not capable of paper printing; ribbon-free - Foreign language/English translation dictionaries, if needed
The following items are Prohibited:
- No food or drink (unless pre-approved for testing accommodations)
- Loose papers, writing paper, writing instruments, or briefcase.
Note: PRONTO candidates utilize an on screen “Global Notepad” during their examination. PearsonVUE candidates are supplied with a small whiteboard and a marker. This marker can ONLY be used to write on the white board. Candidates using the marker/pen to write in their reference materials are subject to disciplinary action by the CC. - Personal items such as purses, wallets, or watches
- Calculators with print capability (i.e. adding machines) and/or that store information (i.e. construction calculators)
- Inserting non-copywritten material in bound, copyrighted material
- “Smart” watch (i.e., Apple or Galaxy watch)
- Any electronic device other than your computer (i.e. any second monitor or screen)
- Copying, recording, or photo devices
